NEW YORK - Binghamton men's tennis (4-4) dropped a 6-1 decision to No. 46 Columbia Saturday afternoon at the Dick Savitt Tennis Center. The Lions (5-3) grabbed the doubles point before winning five of the six singles matches.
Talented freshman Sid Hazarika notched BU's lone win - a three-set triumph at third singles. Hazarika raised his record to 7-1 this spring.

Ismael Dinia nearly pulled off a big upset over the nation's 20th-ranked doubles tandem. Binghamton's pair led 7-3 before Columbia stormed back to win 8-7.
Binghamton also got a good performance from freshman Alexander Maisin, who pushed his opponent at No. 2 singles to a third set before falling 2-6, 6-3, 6-4.
The Bearcats next face region rival Cornell om March 3 in Ithaca.
