BINGHAMTON, N.Y. - Binghamton men's tennis (4-0) captured the opening doubles point and then roared to wins at all six singles matches to blank Bucknell 7-0 Saturday night at the Binghamton Tennis Center.
Senior
Eliott Hureau paired with freshman
Valentin Bouchet for a 6-2 win at No. 1 doubles and then Hureau rolled to a 6-3, 6-1 triumph at No. 1 singles. He raised his singles record to 11-5 this season. Bouchet was the first off the singles court after posting a 6-3, 6-2 win at third singles. He is a team-best 12-2 this season.Â
Junior
Thomas Caputo combined with freshman
Ludovico Cestarollo to clinch the doubles point with a win at No. 3 before each won his singles match. Caputo won 6-3, 6-3 at No. 2 and Cestarollo earned his 10th win of the season with a 6-1, 6-3 victory at No. 4.
Binghamton next faces Brown (Feb. 6) and St. John's (Feb. 7) next weekend on the road.Â
