OLEAN, N.Y. - Binghamton men's tennis (6-4) made it a 2-0 weekend with a 6-1 win over host St. Bonaventure Saturday afternoon.
The Bearcats grabbed the opening doubles point with wins at No. 2 (clincher) and No. 3 and then rattled off five singles wins.
Junior
Thomas Caputo moved up to No. 2 in the singles lineup and earned a three-set win.
"St. Bona played us tough today and didn't make it easy," head coach
Nick Zieziula said. "We kept our composure and fought well but we need to execute better when we get the lead in matches. We got back on the right track with two doubles points this weekend and made some growth in singles as well. We need to keep that going to get ready for MAC play."
The Bearcats next host Niagara at 6 p.m. next Sunday at the Binghamton Tennis Center.
