PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Host Brown captured the doubles point and then won five of the six singles matches to defeat visiting Binghamton 6-1 Saturday afternoon at the Pizzitola Sports Center.

Freshman Kushaan Nath provided BU's lone point with a three-set win at No. 3. 

"We made some progress this week in our training on maintaining our intensity and focus through adversity but we still have a ways to go to avoid the peaks and valleys through the match," head coach Nick Zieziula said. "We got down early breaks in singles but almost clawed our way out of a few of those. We've got another chance tomorrow to Improve on that and to play with conviction and confidence the whole way through."

The Bearcats face St. John's at 5 p.m. Sunday at McCarren Park in Brooklyn.
