Men’s Lacrosse Unveils 2026 Schedule

Binghamton will play seven games at the Bearcats Sports Complex

VESTAL, N.Y. – The Binghamton men's lacrosse team announced its 2026 schedule Monday. Fans will have several chances to see the team in the Southern Tier, as Binghamton is set to play seven games at the Bearcats Sports Complex.

"We are excited to announce the 2026 season schedule," said Binghamton Head Men's Lacrosse Coach Kevin McKeown. "There is a great mix of different conferences and playing styles in non-conference play that will help us prepare for an always competitive America East season."

For the second year in a row, Binghamton opens its season at Lafayette as the Bearcats face the Leopards in Easton, Pa., on Feb. 7. Lafayette went 10-6 in 2025, with one of its victories coming against No. 15 Boston University 11-9. The Leopards ultimately fell in the Patriot League semifinals to Boston U 12-10.

The Bearcats then begin their home schedule by hosting St. Bonaventure on Valentine's Day. In all three games between the Upstate New York programs dating back to 2023, each contest has gone to overtime, with Binghamton winning each one. In 2025, the Bearcats defeated the Bonnies 6-5 in the extra quarter thanks to a game-winning goal from Gavin Jacobsen.

Binghamton's next opponent is its first 2025 NCAA tournament qualifier in Siena, as the Bearcats face the Saints in Loudonville, N.Y., on Feb. 17. Siena, who defeated Binghamton in Vestal, N.Y., 10-6 back in March, won the MAAC championship to reach the NCAA tournament.

Then comes a stretch of four consecutive home games for the Bearcats. Binghamton first hosts Marist on Feb. 21, followed by its first-ever game against Mercyhurst on Feb. 27. After that, the Bearcats welcome fellow SUNY program Stony Brook to the Southern Tier on March 7. It will be the first time that Stony Brook plays at the Bearcats Sports Complex since 2022.

The final game of the homestand marks the beginning of America East Conference play as Binghamton hosts UMass Lowell on March 14. The Bearcats won a thrilling 14-12 game against the River Hawks in Lowell, Mass., last March.

For the last month of the regular season, the Bearcats play four of their final six games on the road, beginning with three in a row. The first test will be at NJIT on March 21.

Next will be Binghamton's final non-conference game of the regular season as the Bearcats play at Delaware on March 28. That will be the first time the two programs will face each other since 2019.

On April 4, Binghamton's next road test is against two-time defending America East tournament champion UAlbany. The Bearcats went toe-to-toe with the Great Danes last April, losing 11-9 in Vestal.

Binghamton returns home for two final regular season games at the Bearcats Sports Complex. The Bearcats host UMBC on April 11, before closing out their home slate on April 18 against Bryant. Binghamton took top-seeded Bryant to overtime in the semifinals of the America East Men's Lacrosse Championship last May, with the Bulldogs winning 10-9 to advance to the finals.

For the second year in a row, Binghamton wraps up its regular season against Vermont, with next season's game taking place in Burlington, Vt., on April 25. The two teams closed out the 2025 regular season last April. Binghamton's 12-7 victory not only helped the Bearcats clinch a spot in the America East Men's Lacrosse Championship, but it also kept Vermont out of the tournament.

If Binghamton finishes in the top four of the America East Conference, the Bearcats will qualify for the America East Men's Lacrosse Championship for the fourth time in the last five seasons. Binghamton previously reached the conference tournament in 2022, 2023 and 2025. The 2026 America East Men's Lacrosse Championship will once again be held at the campus of the regular season champion who earns the No. 1 seed. The semifinals take place on April 30, and the championship game will be held on May 2.
