Bearcats travel to Penn State, Penn and Cornell

VESTAL, N.Y. - Binghamton continued its indoor track & field seasons with three meets this past weekend. The Bearcats took part in the non-scoring Penn Invitational and Penn State National Open on Friday. They also placed third out of seven women's teams and sixth out of six men's teams at the Cornell Invitational on Saturday.Ā

Binghamton posted a pair of individual winners at Cornell - both on the women's side. Freshman Bella Lucas captured the high jump (5-3 ¼) while junior Alexa Colondona took top honors in the long jump. For Colondona, it was her second victory in as many weeks, having won the 60 hurdles at the Bucknell Gulden Invitational last weekend.

On the men's side, the top Binghamton finisher was senior Samson Joseph, who placed second in the 60 (6.87). It marked his second race in as many days, having also placed fourth in the 200 at Penn the previous day.

The Bearcats top overall finisher at Penn was senior Sydney Leitner, who was second overall in the women's 3,000 (9:54.70).
