PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- Binghamton men's tennis (2-2) split a pair of matches Saturday at Brown, dropping a 6-1 decision to the 61st-ranked hosts before blanking Quinnipiac 7-0 later in the afternoon at the Paul Bailey Pizzitola Memorial Sports Center.
Sophomore No. 1
Robin Lesage provided the lone point against the nationally-ranked Bears, earning a straight-set 6-4, 6-2 win over Michael Riechmann. Freshman Sid Hazarika pushed his opponent at fifth singles to a third-set super tiebreak, losing 12-10.
Against the Bobcats, Lesage dropped just two games in his 6-0, 6-2 win at the top spot. The Bearcats swept all three doubles matches before grabbing the six singles contests - five of which were completed in straight sets.
Binghamton remains in Providence to battle Bryant Sunday morning.
